Take heed before it's too late, man.

Head shaking (all beats, heavier on beats 2 and 4).

Hand drumming on every surface—steering wheel, tables, grocery cart.

Get excited when, in the noise of the mall, you hear the perfect high-hat rhythm. Only to find that it's coming from a coffee machine.

If it’s run for profit, then it’s profiting off of … us.

When I hear that the post office lost money, I think this: Good. We already paid for it. Why on earth should it make even more money from us? Who would keep the money? Would we see it?

I don't want to start a thing so I'll just say that there will never be a good argument for privatizing USPS. That would be like privatizing libraries. The aim of services isn't to be run for profit, they are for serving the greater good, which USPS has been extremely successful at.

“I bought a picture with you later, and I brought two trombones. Could I—“

“Bring them.”

It's very obvious that the NYT has put people in editorial positions who view it as part of their job to upset the left. This is, in the bizarro, insular world of US elites, seen as a way to restore balance & regain the trust of the right.

I know I have talked about this before but this parallel educational system is exactly how the RSS ate India’s research ecosystem and turned our universities into a clown show that’s teaching kids Vedics invented space travel.

Inbox: The University of Tennessee System is joining six other red-state public university systems (led by North Carolina) to explore a new accreditation option for public higher education.
I want to make you aware of an evolving effort that the University of Tennessee System has been invited to engage in alongside several other public university systems across the South. The effort involves exploring a new accreditation option designed specifically for public higher education.

The UT System has joined with the Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas A&M and South Carolina university systems to support the formation of the Commission for Public Higher Education (CPHE), an accrediting body that will offer an additional pathway for institutions to ensure academic quality, operational effectiveness and student success. This collaboration is still in early stages and is years away from full implementation. However, it reflects a shared interest in introducing more choice, accountability and transparency into the existing accreditation landscape. Ultimately, this would require approval by the federal Department of Education.

The CPHE aspires to maintain or exceed existing standards, reduce inefficiencies and provide greater flexibility while prioritizing student outcomes and institutional quality. Importantly, this would simply represent an additional accreditation option for us, and we would continue to choose the accreditor that best meets our needs. The University of Tennessee remains dedicated to ensuring there is flexibility in our choice of accreditors – now and in the future.

While Florida is formally announcing the effort this morning, I wanted you to hear directly from me that the UT System is participating in ongoing conversations, not as a replacement of existing accreditation but as part of a national dialogue around innovation and accountability in higher education.
