For 2026's first #promosky: they said it couldn't be done. "You can't make an individually-run domain containing high-quality, personal content like media analyses, reviews, and much more." They were proven wrong—and will continue to be. Visit www.noahsbarks.com and bring the age of blogs back!
So after spending hours wandering aimlessly in Survival Kids 2, I discovered I'm soft locked. I need an item called Gramp's Map, and it's not in its original location or my storage. What I do have though is a glitched item that just screams at me. So a mandatory key item somehow glitched into this.

Post-Valentine's Day 2026: What I'm Currently Lovin' (and Hatin') | Noah's Barks
Valentine's Day can only mean one thing: roses. Specifically, 'Rule of Rose,' the cult classic horror game I cover in today's log update. Also: site gripes and more games.

I beat Rule of Rose last night, which means I can now dress up as an octopus. Sometimes life is pretty cool

it's fucked up how you could never make a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney game today because every time you'd catch a witness lying everyone would just say "okay" and move on

i wish i knew this 20 years ago damn
I just accidentally made a huge discovery 👀

Turns out there's a cheat code in Rayman 3 GameCube which unlocks every bonus map including 2D Nightmare! No GBA needed at all!

Go to the Bonus menu and press "Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right R L R L", so basically the Konami code.

That arcade's too organized. Where's the chaos? Where's the gator hammering game in between Mortal Kombat 2 and TIme Crisis?

I've been aching to finish Drakengard 2 and start another obscure PS2 game. I made a list of shit to check out and it's like six dozen games lol. Now I'm wondering if it's feasible for one to become a master of weird PS2 games
The world needs weird PS2 games now more than ever.

You have a regular McDonald's meal and a Happy Meal. Which one do you give to the Game Boy, and which goes to the Game Kid?
gaming holy grail found ... show me a better video game console than this 😂 #retrogaming #gamekid

you're gonna want that extra processing power when it comes to how fast you can make the turbo mode go for Shining in the Darkness
Yeah, that's me. Using a stupidly expensive handheld PC to play a game you could feasibly run on a modern-day wristwatch

also, why the fuck is Hamster rereleasing Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure? it's a good game, but it JUST had a modern rerelease. I'm so confused.

is it common knowledge that Shadow Hearts 2 has a Director's Cut version? it's exclusive to Japan and has a bunch of new content. not even an English translation patch yet. genuinely surprised to hear both things, considering its dedicated fanbase. kind of makes me want to put the series off further

hey everyone, it's time to bully Konami until they announce they will localize the Goemon collection. Konami only releases one game a year as it is.
Konami is releasing a 13-game Goemon collection for Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PC | VGC
The compilation looks like it will be sold only in Japan for now…

We've added a set of 5 recovered Game Boy Advance prototypes to the archive, with Action Man, Casper, Cube, Kong and Rotating Menus. Unfortunately they are in a strange executable format which don't run properly and may need some further investigation.

yeah a lot of really horrendous crimes have been coming to light, but man, Drakengard 2 is pretty bad.

literally the same way they always do: "the left did it too/first/more." part of the right's strategy was normalizing everything they did, so that their wrongs, when exposed, wouldn't concern their base. 'course, the correct response remains "shut up, you literally don't believe in anything."
it's kinda crazy that when (not if) we fight our way to a better world we'll be able to point to the epstein files any time someone brings up a notable right wing talking point and be like "the world's most prominent pedophiles spread that idea on purpose" and like how do you even clap back at that

arcade games weren't fundamentally designed around gambling, either. they were entirely predictable. also, like... that practice once died out as the primary economic model? which was a good thing? the fact Hitler existed before does not absolve someone using necromancy to revive him.
for what feels like the trillionth time: a skilled player could theoretically beat an arcade game on a single credit on their first attempt.
modern microtransaction-funded games are designed to keep the player hooked with deliberately impossible situations with victory just slightly out of reach

Reminder that crunch is bad and shouldn't be legal. An industry veteran indirectly leveraging their status doesn't change that.
According to Motoi Okamoto, Mini-Game Director for Super Mario 64 DS, Shigeru Miyamoto would start midnight crunch sessions for the game's development by walking into the office and announcing "It's Mario time."

lol at every single epstein leak 1000% proving every leftist sociopolitical and economic theory that's been posited for decades. yep, it was always an astroturfed right-wing culture war to manipulate lonely men to normalize crime and ensure the rich and powerful remain in their position forever.
