I don't disagree, essentially. The value and general importance of being an effective communicator is often downplayed or abstracted by those who benefit from members of society being less literate. In that environment, it's not surprising that people would have undue self-confidence.

My favorite part about this video is when the guy gets his Blastoise back, he looks like he's trying really hard to work up tears cuz that's what the typical scene in these docs calls for. God bless that guy. At least he was crying over the best starter.

Good writing is literally work, and it consumes time and energy. Conservatives got to run with the propaganda that it's a worthless and effortless skill because it's something anyone can do on a fundamental level.

Someone told me recently that part of the writing process is THINKING about writing. Nobody sits and writes immediately at the computer. And I wish they had told me that 3 years ago when this all started and I was feeling anxious, lazy, and ashamed of NOT doing so

But its true. Let your mind THINK.

@inobscurity.bsky.social @pepsimanvsjoe.bsky.social thanks for replying, both of you! i was just curious, as it's something that's been plaguing me since i began hosting. they do sometimes get hosted automatically, but for me, many pages aren't, with no perceivable consistency as to why.

my fellow writers such as @inobscurity.bsky.social and @pepsimanvsjoe.bsky.social, do you guys regularly put in an effort to make sure your website's posts/pages are indexed by search engines, namely Google? if so, do you often struggle with getting them to be indexed?
