can everyone reading this reply with a reading-intensive (blog?) website they think has a great, convenient layout? I'm looking for inspiration, but I hate so many default blog layouts. there's so much emphasis on gigantic images and banners. everything's a portfolio. thank you for any submissions.

i've never particularly enjoyed pinball itself, but i always can't help but marvel at the intricate boards of some of these machines. a veritable rainbow of colors and proprietary plastic doodads make them all look like some amazing, fantastic carnival that's just out of reach beyond the glass.
Getting some Christmas Eve pinball in, thanks to the venerable 3DS. So close to 50M on Whirlwind.

you know what sucks? I got 101% and all Bananas in Donkey Kong 64, which used to qualify you as being an aberrant freak, but in the post-challenge digital attention economy, that doesn't even land on the radar. it's like Neil Armstrong being around to see cheap, everyday space tourism.

I've applied to write for CBR in the past and have never gotten accepted. That's fair, as it's been confirmed since that I'm entirely overqualified. There's a level of quality low enough where the answer to "is it AI-generated?" is meaningless.

I played a few levels of Rayman 2 last night on NSO. It really is timeless. I think it deserves a reckoning over just how special it is. Donkey Kong Country 2 got its rebranding as an atmospheric platformer, and Rayman 2 is cut from similar cloth. I love it.
