Transfem writer, working on original magical girl project and Ranma 1/2 fanfic. Big fan of lesbians, gay women, and GENDER. Outright anti-fan of TERFs and SWERFs. Apparently I'm also into Canadian politics now.

They only have around 3500 respondents globally. Only a fraction of those are US respondents.

Its gonna be hard, and somewhat bad practice to draw additional conclusions from a data set that small.
nobleheroine.bsky.social
Those are largely questions for future research, as they probably don't have that data.

Some experts cross out the "not directly taking part in hostilies" because "Jesus fucking christ do not murder civilians under any circumstances that's a war crime" is also an expert opinion

How do you do step 2.

And especially step 3.

How do you make friends with people other than stumbling into their DMs like "so you like Ranma fanfic"

And secondary note, while I'm not disagreeing, this isn't the advice a lot of authors get.

They're told to push their writing, and to push it hard.

Beth you're amazing but this is a bit of a "draw the rest of the owl" moment.

Cause like.

How.

My #1 tip for generating word of mouth is to create word of mouth for other people first.

Teach yourself how to market by marketing your friends' books first!

You'll gain essential practice, generate community goodwill, make author friends to help with the writing process, and it pays dividends.

I am not online enough for this crap.

Excellent piece, fantastic writing. Wish it never could have existed.

#NickFuentes relaunched his YouTube channel last night after the company said it would allow some banned accounts back on the platform

Fuentes' account was just nuked

Read my piece on how, even without YouTube, Fuentes is more popular than ever

Although, Only Ever Yours doesn't construct good worldbuilding, so much as justify the lack thereof, while providing enough implications to still establish a sense of what this society is like--with a more realistic vision, at that.

Hunger games is the only one I don't wonder how they get food.
nobleheroine.bsky.social
Oh, the bubble girl.

I've seen those books but I've never read them.

The only good worldbuilding I've seen in this genre is Only Ever Yours by Louis O'Neil and, well, the Hunger Games.

And that one only by comparison
nobleheroine.bsky.social
Not the 2010s ya dystopian worldbuilding 😓

I mean, all of the really noteworthy struggles have been with Unreal Engine 5.

Star Wars Outlaws runs fine, Resident Evil Requiem looks really impressive, and Cyberpunk has been praised to death.

And even Cronos, another unreal game, runs fine on Switch 2. More cutbacks, but the game holds up.
nobleheroine.bsky.social
Starwars outlaws has been in the top three best sellers list for at least a week, so I suspect there's a little complexity to this.

Nvidea does have somewhere like, 70 to 80% of the GPU market share.

Although from what I understand most of the games issues come from cpu limits?
