If BS founders really wanted to work towards a fair and decentralized social media, they would have worked on the activitypub protocol and integrated BS into the fediverse.

Taking things too literally is needlessly divisive. I don't mean to upset people by saying this, but frequently do. Some language is like a math equation, and some like a painting. Neither is wrong. When the audience is general, it's up to the reader to understand which type they are reading.
