My friend @governorwalz.mn.gov has been a dedicated public servant from his time in the National Guard to Governor of Minnesota.

Everywhere he goes he carries with him his Midwestern values of kindness and standing up for working families.

Thankful for his service and sacrifice.

Minnesota has to come first - always.

Today, I’m proud of the work we’ve done to make Minnesota the best place to live and raise kids.

I’ve decided to step out of the race and let others worry about the election while I focus on the work.

Secretary Rubio basically said the use of military force would not occur without first coming to Congress to get authorization.

He needs to explain why he straight up lied to Congress.

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

Something I think about sometimes is how my grandparents - who both grew up during the Depression - spent virtually nothing on non-necessities. They were frugal about food, clothing, utilities, transportation. But they spent basically $0 on everything else. No cable t.v. Got books from the library.
Sometimes I worry about how much this "affordability" crisis is self-inflicted. We got a taste of that possibility with the "burrito taxi" debate. People admitting to spending insane amounts of money on take out and coming up with bizarre reasons for why it was the government's fault. 1/
My partner and I were looking for a short term loans a couple months ago because we had a bunch of medical stuff hit us at once and... yeah. I looked on some reddit threads to see if this or that company was legit and sooo many were talking about using it for gambling debt & day trading! 😱

Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
Getting off US tech: a guide
I’m in the process of dropping US tech services. Here’s how I did it, and options you should consider.

I’m disgusted by Donald Trump’s posts.

Melissa and Mark Hortman were violently taken from us. Their family deserves respect and privacy as they grieve this unthinkable loss.

Americans deserve a president who condemns political violence, not spreads conspiracy theories that inspire it. Enough.
Donald Trump is now reposting videos on Truth Social suggesting that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had Melissa Hortman assassinated.

This is objectively evil, and calling it out should not be political.

I mean a guy can't even kidnap a foreign leader in an unauthorized military operation without getting criticized anymore
Some Democrats hate that their party is largely positioning itself in opposition to the operation that resulted in Maduro's capture.

Said another: "It looks weak." www.axios.com/2026/01/04/m...

Don’t be fooled: you can’t both claim this was simply the execution of an arrest warrant AND say the U.S. is now "running" Venezuela & grabbing its oil resources.

Trump just admitted this was a clear regime-change play to enrich U.S. oil companies & his billionaire buddies.
Trump and his cronies can try to dress this up, but it is an illegal act of war to replace Maduro and grab Venezuela's oil for his billionaire buddies.

The indictment against Maduro is about cocaine. If we had an honest White House Press Corps, every press interview Trump did would start with why he pardoned a narco terrorist president who imported 400 tons of cocaine into the United States.

I’ve been working full time to stop this war since last summer and the one scenario I feared the most is materializing — Trump is making a play for Venezuela’s oil. I’m not saying an insurgency will definitely form, but Trump’s ploy creates the perfect storm for an absolutely disastrous occupation.🧵
Trump: "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country. And we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so."

It's really fucking not.
Tom Cotton: "Congress isn't notified when the FBI is going to arrest a drug trafficker or cyber criminal here in the US, nor should Congress be notified when the executive branch is executing arrests on indicted persons. And that's really what you can make the analogy to here."

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

Trump says we need to go after drug cartels.

Meanwhile, he disbanded a DOJ task force that took them on.

And he pardoned a former Honduran president convicted of drug trafficking.

Trump doesn't care about drugs — he wants to be able to declare war on anyone he labels an enemy.

It's a power grab.
