There is currently a new push to try to get a policy resulting in a two tiered approach to privacy and human rights in Brussels, Called ‘Article 4’. Which is an even more underhanded and destructive legislative then any of the original ChatControl proposals, due to not only does it want to force apps like Whatsapp, Signal and the like to scan their users messages. Which will destroy those apps promises of end-to-end encryption. They also want people to present their ID or face for scanning, to make sure they are not under the age of 16. This will also apply to Video games as well. This is a huge breach against people's privacy. This two-tiered policy is a violation against peoples human rights, where the only ones that will not be affected are the military, police and government officials, Such as the previous Denmark politician Sass Larsen who have one of the largest cases of CSAM in Europe, but got away with only four months of jail and receives early retirement pension from the Danish Parliament after that scandal. This is bad, and depending on how this is implemented (as most politicians don't have a fucking clue, hence this article), it could mean a hamstringing of any tech companies...or a complete implosion of all encryption in the UK.
