Having said what I said, I dont think its empathy for others. I think its more a feeling of betrayal, that she has realized she was lied to. MAGA are about revenge and self serving performance. Maybe she ran out of Kool Aid? Maybe someone she respected (hard to imagine) got thru to her. Maybe a trauma, or perhaps, finally, she woke up to the insanity of trump and the disgust of the GOP protecting pedophiles, was a bridge too far, a slap in the face she needed, and deserved.
