There is, to my mind, no justification for the continued use by the UK Government of X as a platform for official comms. There hasn't been for some time, in fact, but if the latest developments around AI-generated image abuse and CSAM don't change the policy I really don't know what will.

Excellent point in great thread. Just as an illustrative example, in the Budget, Rachel Reeves hiked taxes on essentially all post-2012 graduates and announced her intent to hike taxes on everyone who saves a decent amount into their pension. These groups are both core Labour voters!
And the reasons for that are not hard to find - Starmer’s unpopularity among left-liberals is the logical, arguably even intended consequence of 18 months of comms and policy which alienates and angers left-liberals while winning over no one on right. This is the cake his team have baked themselves.

Possibly unpopular opinion - Farage’s ‘listen love’ moment should have been a much bigger deal, if not career ending. Especially as he’s spent all summer lecturing us about cultures which have a ‘medieval attitude towards women’.
