Here's Disaster Day Of Crisis a very ambitious project by Monolith Soft and dubbed by Animaze and ZRO Limit. I'm not exactly sure in what capacity Kevin Seymour was involved with this one as the voice director is listed as Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Preproduction documents below. 🧵

So anyway I restored Daicon IV from scratch. This was a joint project with Chris Person (papapishu), who sourced the incredibly Rare Laserdisc release. The raw files can be found on the internet archive for those interested in processing it yourself. Enjoy! archive.org/details/DAIC...

This is incredible.

It's exactly what you think an AI game would be, a kind of Call of BattleMedal FightSoldierSiege IP grey goo that can only seemingly be an on-rails affair where you can only move forward and the only possible interaction is a QTE, and the whole thing is still melting down.
Oh my god some fucking tech dingdong posted this on Twitter with the caption "AI games are going to be amazing" totally seriously, you have to watch it. You have to. In full screen.

What’s happened to Pokemon cards in the past year or so is fucking insane. Even early on in the pandemic when it really blew up was nothing like this.

You can’t get shit and the worst freaks are doing pump and dumps on individual cards.

I can’t even imagine how bleak it must be from a kid’s pov.

In 1995, Titus released Virtua Chess, a game whose title was chosen to capitalise on the success of Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter and co. Sega threatened Titus with legal action, forcing them to add a legal notice to all game boxes stating that the word "Virtua" was used with the permission of Sega.

Using a specific setup in Super Mario Maker 2, it is possible to create a "Negative Space Koopa Troopa". It will not only be invisible, but make objects behind it invisible as well, appearing as a walking hole in reality.

The second LaserDisc Rip today is rarer than the first, and also is by Japanese City Pop artist Tats Yamashita.

Early 90s. New York City. Real people. A single day documented from morning to midnight. Christmas comes early this year:
