Papercraft is a little Ruby gem for generating HTML using plain Ruby.

Besides, the question is when are we going to hear from the people who work with him / for him? Or are they going to just ignore it?

I think it's interesting that people of DHH's convictions don't talk about Jews. I guess Jews are "white" now?

Papercraft 2.16 has just been released. This version adds support for rendering namespaced components.

Thank you Andrea for speaking up, your pain and courage are felt through your thoughtful words.

Intolerance cannot be fixed by shouting "Nazi". It can only be fixed with compassion and a lot of patience. And compassion is important first of all as an internal positioning vis-a-vis all the wrong that we see in this world. Frankly I don't see any other way.

Because it's dehumanizing, just like racism. It's saying this person is completely worthless for having engaged in hate speech. He's wrong, of course, he's hurt other people, but that doesn't mean he can be reduced to a label, which in itself, BTW, is quite ridiculous.

Please read my post again. I've called him out on his racist words, but I didn't resort to calling him names. This allows me to deliver my message without dehumanizing him, or demeaning myself. And maybe, just maybe, if I showed this person compassion, one day it will make him change his mind...

Thank you Veni for speaking out. I'm white, but I too am an immigrant and was hurt by what he said. Words can hurt in many ways, often indirectly by inciting other people to hate.

We should all think about what we say publicly, not least a person in DHH's position.

I'm still hoping for a peaceful resolution.

Thank you Jean for sharing your point of view. I understand this is maybe about personal relations gone bad (le fameux PFH) than any sort of professional disagreement. But I really wish Ruby Central and Shopify were more open especially if they wish to rectify the facts that we know.

Thank you André for taking action to protect the Ruby community from what many of us see as a power grab. Hopefully this will lead to a peaceful if not amicable resolution.
