Summary:

Kylo Ren, infamous defense attorney for the First Order, had always known how he would die. Or rather, he'd seen it in his dreams, and he'd felt the life seep out of his heavy limbs and into the cold earth as an unknown pair of delicate yet strong arms wrapped around his shoulders held him tighter. He'd be lying if he said that he was unaffected by the lack of sleep and the intense emotional toll from the nightmares, but Kylo Ren had a reputation to uphold.
So every day he put on the hyper-competent, cold persona like he put on his suit jacket, he showed up, and he won. The alternative was to admit that, once again, he felt lost and alone, and that would be too much for him to bear.

Then ADA Rey Johnson walks into court, into his life, and into his heart, and the dream shifts.

every once in a while this discourse pops up and I'm reminded that some people in the fandom not only didn't understand the obvious implication that they were romantically paired, but also thought people into that were fascists. For those people, there should be full penetration on screen.

I think it's increasingly clear that, textually, a major problem with the new trilogy is that Kylo Ren and Rey should have had sex and had a baby, possibly on screen. That would have fixed several problems and given us a little more narrative clarity.

Rey always thought Ben's unconventional features made him more interesting than most men out there; he only really needed to learn to wield them. She reaches up to brush his dark locks out of his eyes. "Just a little haircut to frame-"

Oh.

Her legs wobble as she stares and stares into the hazel depths, and he wraps a thick arm around her waist to steady her.

Rey decides she doesn't want anyone else seeing him like this, actually.

He speaks then, a low rumbling that reverberates where her body is pressed against his. "If you've had your fill, only fair I get a turn."

Ben pulls her closer.

Red is the dress she’s wrapped in the night she betrays him, and there’s red on her cheeks as she discovers that he’s found her out.

Red in his vision as he grabs her in a punishing grip, but the beat of his heart outmatches his fury; and red on her lips becomes his as he claims them.

Red nails in his dark hair as she surrenders to her urges, mission thrown to the wind. Red marks he leaves on her thigh as he bites, red marks she rakes on his back. Under the red moon, sweating and spent, plans are formed in the dead of the night.

Red is the blood of her former employer, glistening in the morning sun, splattered on the wall and the desk and the floor, covering hands of the Lord Solo and the sword of Rey, his lover.

one unfortunate outcome of this recent AI scam bubble is that it has absolutely killed my interest in AI's in fiction. the Alien tv show doing the whole "is AI a human" routine we've been doing for the last hundred years but now I'm like no, it's a shitty chatbot that destroys fresh water
