Do cats just try to trip you on the stairs or should I be taking this personally?

ICYMI: We directed $11 million to support food shelves and fight housing insecurity.

All Minnesotans deserve a warm home and full table this holiday season.

I’m interested in the framing of “actively avoiding”

It’s implying that folks now expect folks to do this and they are just saying no

A small tech conference had "brand identification rules", ie all presenters had to identify each product by formal name.

One panel agreed up "X (pause) hausting" every time a reference to twitter was required.

It was magical.

Soft blanket. Warm coffee. Sleeping kiddos. Good book. Snoring dog. Roaming cat. Warm fire.

Moments are good.

Yeah. Being disliked is sometimes strategically important.

And value confirming.

My wife (who has managed ERs for many years) was trying to keep her cool reading all the headlines about the CEO and asked when someone was going to write a story about all the violence caused by insurance denials that happen to nurses and staff and doctors because patients can't get to the CEO

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

Today's lesson discusses the American health care system for those in countries where their system provides care for free or reasonable fees. 👇

After I moved to Canada a couple of years ago I realized that I was no longer constantly running a massive stress routine in the background of my mind worrying about health care and guns. It was weirdly noticeable only when it stopped.

Fair.
I'm on the cusp of X and Millennial. Work in tech.

I see a lot of amazing young people in tech who aren't able to manage mistakes and reasonable consequences.

Please allow your kids to make kid-sized mistakes and experience the consequences.

Especially if you wonder why so few adults understand every choice has a result, sometimes negative.

Let. Kids. Learn. Kid-sized. Lessons.

Y'all. Yesterday a woman realized she was a #womenintech during a group convo.

She's been working in tech for over 5 years. She supports scrum processes.

Can't wait to see what she does now that she has realized her additional awesomeness.
