turn against the party [cult]
and the party’s [cult’s] leadership
without directly blaming
the cult’s leader [i mean, president]?

Marjorie Taylor Greene on polls showing Republicans are getting blamed for the shutdown: "I'm not putting the blame on the president. I'm actually putting the the blame on the Speaker and Leader Thune in the Senate. This should not be happening ... we control the House & Senate & have the WH."

The Trump administration confirmed that the U.S. bailed out Argentina.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he had directly bought Argentine pesos in global currency markets in a bid to relieve pressure on the nation’s embattled President Javier Milei, a supporter of President Trump.

It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.

I ran Senator Bill Nelson's Fort Myers office during the Great Recession/Housing Crisis and Cape Coral (where my parents live) was the #2 most foreclosed market leading into the crisis, following Las Vegas. People came to the office every day for help.

This time, Florida is in way bigger trouble.

I know I shared this yesterday, but I cannot stop thinking about this piece, especially this part:

"I thought I was the hopelessly broken one. But I was a fire alarm among people who couldn't smell smoke...

"There just isn’t enough time. There’s only what we manage to make of it—what we build, what we protect, what we remember to carry to the car. The gas mask. The snacks. The question we forgot to ask. The name of the person taken." My latest.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

Play, uniqueness, creativity, invention, multiplicities, humour: all things authoritarianism can't handle and doesn't want.

The more of that shown in resistance, the better. It means people are alive to it.

“It appears we had a technical issue before the break, but you said something important that I want to get clarification on.

Why did you say Trump has plenary authority? For our viewers, can you explain what plenary authority is and why you believe it applies here?”

“The show then cut to a break and later resumed the interview with Miller. Sanchez told the audience, ‘wires got crossed’. Neither Sanchez nor Miller mentioned Trump wielding ‘plenary authority’ again.”

WHY AREN’T JOURNALISTS ASKING BASIC FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS??

Title 10, which gives the president limited authority to federalize the National Guard, does not provide the president with plenary (i.e. absolute and unchecked) authority.

Stephen Miller is claiming the powers of a tyrant. We must have oversight.
