NEW: Elon Musk has insisted that Jeffrey Epstein invited him to the notorious island and he declined. But new emails show the opposite -- Musk was practically begging to party with Epstein in the Caribbean, years after Epstein's sex convictions were public knowledge

Harvard is really not about the prestige or network. It’s all about the learning opportunities, you know?
harvard trying to lower their share of A grades by giving out more A+ grades and not counting them as As is funnier than i could come up with www.nytimes.com/2026/01/29/u...

Ok, this is really, really dumb.
But also slightly funny, as the AI generated sequences have dramatic lighting (though all over the places, direction wise) making them very different than the now prevailing Netflix soft light in movies.
It’s so rando.
First trailer for Darren Aranofsky's new AI animated series 'On This Day... 1776'

• Tells short narrative stories about the Revolutionary War

• Uses Gen AI tools, including tech made by Google DeepMind

• Has SAG voice actors

“I’m not a political person. I’m in the arts” is one of the stupidest things I have ever read in my entire life
Cosmopolitan asks Sydney Sweeney if she ever intends to publicly state her political beliefs:

“No. I’m not a political person. I’m in the arts. I’m not here to speak on politics. That’s not an area I’ve ever even imagined getting into… but I don’t believe in hate in any form.”

The largest infrastructure projects currently being built in the US appear to be data centers and detention centers. The AI boom has coincided with ICE becoming the most heavily funded government agency. It's hard not to see a connection: This is the architectures of digital fascism

Plans for such centers and jails in nearly two dozen communities have sparked protests over suitability, proximity to homes and schools.

A) This is hilarious
B) This is dumb
C) This will slowly kill all involved companies, which is good, because every Musk enterprise needs to die
This is a move to have SpaceX bail out his other companies.

Unfortunately I cannot stop us from murdering people. I also think you are mean.
Homan: "I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn't right. I don't want to see anybody die."

Then I guess he learned, that even a minimal stand against things like fascism, racism, rape and child porn is not always free. And chose to compromise.
A very thoughtful startup founder told me the other day that he remains on X because it's "LinkedIn for my industry." It's how he found his seed funding, it's where all the connections he needs to continue operating are.

Everyone who feels their living depends on X remains there.
i continue to ask what people are still doing on the fascist white supremacy platform that generates child pornography

Half of these are social media radicalization. When the 15 minute city thing arrived back in Germany it had already mutated to some kind of shadow world org will only allow us to leave the house for 15 minutes plot.
Calling transphobia a 'gateway drug' to the far right undersells it. It's pure accelerant. Grimly fascinating to guess what crankery becomes any famous transphobe's secondary obsession, cos they all have one: 15 minute cities are fascism! Grok noncing is cool! ICE are good! We should kill all dogs!

Here we’d like to explain how people who called Trump fascist early were right, but wrong to do so. While everything we did was exactly right.

The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.
