Oh wait… at the end of ep1… if all the gods are dead, so to will be the demon lord Prehaps. How are all the clerics getting their powers, the warlocks to!!

My theory is, if Brennan is using the same pantheon that her demon lord was Baphomet, but that is a lazy guess

Like the demon loving nerd I am, I am so curious as to which demon lord Tyranny served before coming to Aramán/which level of the abyss they belong to. Is the abyss in @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social’s game different from classic dnd, or Cr1 to 3. Who knows! 👀 (I want to know)

I've been working on an essay about The Struggles of TTRPG Outreach and Fandom but I think this tumblr post just captured the whole sentiment im like 100 words.
Fact: Apart from pure recognition factor, one of the major reasons your fanart gets more eyes on it than your OCd is because people are perverts for narrative context, and your OCs don't have any.

Corollary: you don't actually need to write a whole-ass graphic novel to achieve that narrative context. You do need to know what your OC's story is, but once you do, you can literally just draw contextless snapshots from that story that raise more questions than they answer and people will fill in the blanks.

A screenshot of the iconic scene from the 1987 masterpiece, Predator, where Dutch and Dilon shake hands and through the power of their friendship and enormous muscles, heal the world. At the bottom of the image is the text "How TTRPG Rising Feels".

Hello! I am goat and I am working on a huge revamp of the Abyss! All classic DnD demon lore are getting a fresh lick of paint with tones of new demons and demon lords to join them! Free chapters are available on my website!

Insane comic!!! Give it a read if you have the chance, I adored every second

I think a large part of that fear comes from being conditioned that engagement = worth. And even though i know engagement is no mark on quality it’s still crushing when all your hard work is seen by no one, it feels like no one cares
obsoletegoat.bsky.social
This! It’s so crushing to spend dozens of hours on something and for on or two people to give it a like.

I have been working on a personal project now for 2 years and expect to spend another 2 years finishing it and the fear that at the end no one will care is very rear

Inktober sets completely unrealistic expectations regarding output. Making a complete inked drawing in one day EVERY day for a month is insane and a recipe for burnout. Don’t tie your worth to something that even professionals believe is unrealistic.

Didn't we agreed to stop romanticing Inktober a couple of years ago bc the guy running It was terrible and the trend glorifies art as content, or what happened

I decided to re-draw this old bit of splash art to match the other illustration in book. I am excited to compare these two side by side as many I love this re-draw
obsoletegoat.bsky.social
All of the full colour splash art I will be re-doing, between new peaces. As much as I love the old stuff it’s gonna be fun to get to revisit everything.
