“No!” the words burst from Vola’s mouth before she could take them back. This was still the dream. Where in the four hells was she? Did that thing still have her? She whimpered, trying desperately to struggle against the paralysis. “Please...where’s Nat? Just let me speak to her.”

The aasimar frowned in confusion, sniffing back tears. Gently she stroked the half-orc’s face. Her friend’s eyes had become unfocused, staring at something that wasn’t there. “Vee, I’m here. I’m right here. Just like last time. I didn’t want to paralyze you, but last time…well.” She glanced at the remains of her desk lamp in the corner. Oh well. Controlling Vola’s panicked flailing before she hurt herself had been more important at the time. And she’d never liked that lamp anyway.

She looked around for some way to bar the door, perhaps a chair against it. Not much of a barrier but it would serve to delay entry if someone tried.

But that in itself could be a problem if one of the servants tried to enter. She was acutely aware from her Brontë novels, and others, that women who behaved strangely were locked up either in a wing of the house, or Bedlam.

She sighed. It was quite ridiculous how difficult satisfying a simple desire could be. Of course, she could wait through all the rest of the day until she went to bed, but she was not willing to do that.

This was her birthday, after all, and the throbbing temptation of her breasts had barely diminished. She desired to explore them further; to prove the point she lifted both her hands to her bosom and squeezed each breast hard. The effect almost made her swoon as shivers danced through her body.

Oh, indeed, there was no question, she must get at them unobstructed. They demanded immediate attention.
