Sometimes I wonder if my reply guy antics are appreciated only to remind myself that no one asked my opinion. Like, the pretty woman who posts pretty pictures isn’t going suffer for not having me pop up with my sarcastic nonsense. Sigh, I need a nap.

I get asked “Don’t you want children someday?” So often and my new favorite response is :
“Did you know that in this country you’re charged (yes, money) for skin on skin contact with your child after you birth them? And that’s on top of $10k-$75k for the entire birth process alone.”

Sex work is work. Those who talk about porn addiction don’t and won’t see that. They see it as women controlling access to sex in the purest form so of course they can’t see sex work as labor. It’s the most direct way women show how men aren’t ‘owed’ sex and that pisses them off.

Let’s re-iterate some important things:

- Masturbation is healthy and normal. If you have any concerns about it, talk to your health provider.

- Porn is not the root of all evil. But religious groups and political figures benefit from you thinking it is.

- “porn addiction” is fake

True, Nazism and modern esoterica sit a little too close for comfort. Both are grab-bags of ideas with little rhyme or reason but work just well enough to keep people from asking the right questions. And both require buying into a shared reality like a cult does.

I’m sorry it’s just really clear to me it’s “porn is an addiction” ~> banning porn ~> criminalising + arresting sex workers.

Sex workers are predominantly minorities. The nefarious intentions are hardly even hidden.

I think the most convincing argument for porn addiction just being white supremacist rhetoric is the fact that they’re all on Twitter right now claiming that “Jewish people control porn” and want you to be addicted to it.
