Small businesses have been used as the rhetorical pawn for Tory propaganda for years whilst in reality they suffer with the rest of the serfs so the mega rich can get even richer.
So many fell for it and still do.

It’s awful that most don’t get a good deal from the system. This has worsened in the last decade or so, which has seen staggering increases in wealth at the top of society.
We need to look to Scandinavia where taxes are fairer but businesses thrive and services, wages & pensions are excellent.

Does this status quo of attitude really come from those of us collectively having to pay the required taxes to preserve a decent society, or from those stuffing said profits into their pockets at a favourably lower taxed rate than most other taxes?🤷🏻

Hi David, we are conditioned to think that tax is a dirty word (mostly by right wing media) & it works. Particularly anything that affects us personally.
Tax provides for the services we & others require. It is not generally taken in greed or spite. Profits from business goes into private pockets.

If we are taking in “trillion” of dollars in tariffs:

1. Why haven’t we paid down a cent of the debt?

2. Why can’t we afford to not fuck millions of people over with expiring insurance subsidies?

3. Why is none of it being used to help the abysmal job market?

Tax is a contentious area and a political minefield. Every tax could be considered regressive and I agree a fair system needs to be created.
However an observation is that, you, a socialist thinks it’s necessarily tax and not exorbitant estate agent and solicitor fees that are preventing sales. 🤷🏻
