My 8mo son tried raspberry for the first time tonight, and now he looks like he needs to take a steaming shower in a cheap, anonymous motel while he contemplates the decisions that led him to take a life and the water runs unforgivably red down the drain.

ChatGPT’s signature writing style is everywhere now, and I hate it. It reminds me of when we tried mixing all the beverages at the soda fountain in middle school. We didn’t actually create the perfect drink, we just made a cloying monstrosity that lost everything good about its constituent parts.

Ham. So easily ham. Why the hell would we need ham when we have turkey? It's called turkey day for a reason.

Get rid of ham and never look back.
with charity and goodwill, i must here part ways with rolls.

A waste of their time and our tax dollars.
So Texas shipped 200 National Guard members to Illinois last month, they sat on standby for weeks, a federal judge blocked the deployment, and now they’re all heading back to Texas without ever being used. This is the best use of our military?

As a teacher, sometimes I have to ask what I can do to encourage horses to drink when I have led them to the trough...

Other times I have to ask why I'm waterboarding horses.

FRANKENSTEIN ROBBED GRAVES TO RESEARCH AND UNDERSTAND DEATH, BUT THERE'S NOTHING IN THE BOOK THAT SAYS ADAM WAS STITCHED TOGETHER CORPSES. FRANKENSTEIN EXPLICITLY SAYS HE will not EXPLAIN HOW HE MADE ADAM BECAUSE HE DOESN'T WANT OTHERS TO FOLLOW IN HIS FOOTSTEPS.
in a way, if you think about it, Frankenstein's monster is the real monster. because it's made of a bunch of dead bodies and stuff which is different from how people generally are

At the same time that corporate propaganda has taught us to hate being a recipient of social programs, it turns out corporations love NOTHING MORE than being a recipient of federal bailouts & subsidies.

They call it socialism when it benefits the People & Capitalism when it benefits themselves.🧵

This. A church MAY be a group of terrible hateful people who don't care for "widows and orphans"

But their failure to provide immediately for any given person who calls them isn't proving that. It's the liberal version of "this SNAP recipient OWNS AN IPHONE!?"
I've been seeing that TikTok "social experiment" going around where the woman pretended to have a crying baby and called churches asking for formula. I'm frustrated by this "experiment" and the reaction to it on two counts.

One, almost no organization hands out cash willy-nilly to anyone who cold

So, this will likely be unpopular, but two things can be true.

A) the problem with the economy comes down to extreme wealth inequality and a billionaire ruling class

And

B) spending 10+ bucks a week on random little things like candy bars at checkout, lattes on the way to work DOES add up
“At the same time, more than half of Gen Z members say they are struggling to make ends meet, yet a majority buy themselves a small treat, such as a pastry, coffee, or sweet, at least once a week. That can lead to overspending…”

Genuinely would not be surprised if part of the issue is that the folks ramping up corruption genuinely think "conflict of interest" is when the two colluding parties want different things.

"There's no conflict of interest; we both want to line our pockets with public funds."
