currently watching an older Taiwanese drama called Coolie, i don't think it ever made it overseas. Mobius, Twelve Letters, Love in the Clouds Yummy yummy yummy are all currently on i really want to watch but i also have 100+ other shows on the backlog LOL

A couple of years ago I was hired by to write a kids' book which featured a Black family.

It was one of the most fun things I'd ever written.

It was pitched to many publishers.

Feedback was great.

One of the things about this study is that a lot of baby and toddler books are written in house, by editors. So the study reveals the whiteness of editorial in kidlit even if not explicitly. i'm trying to find the formal legalese for this, but my gut check is that the rules are written vaguely enough to not be spelled out and open to interpreation.

older dramas like "step into the past" don't actually go back to the present. (Step into the past actually came back for a sequel movie)
