I don't think it's a coincidence that all of this (worldwide) is happening when most of the people who lived through WWII have just died. We need to do a better job of keeping their memories and ideals alive.

The idea would not be to win a war against Russia. The idea would be to ensure, in every contingency, that the lord of the Kremlin will always understand a war would be too hideous a risk for Russia - and hopefully, to him personally. Even if he is surrounded by a circle of sycophants.
