It’s a weird thing when you google the stranger that sold you an old fountain pen on eBay and discover they are a journalist who is a political dissident in their Turkish homeland. Welp, I guess I’m gonna buy another pen from them.

Rainy windstorm. Sleeping is going to be a challenge tonight. I’m not used to the sounds and realities of wind interacting with an evergreen forest. Could a falling tree reach me and my Airstream? Or the new shelter I built to park it under? Sounds like the wind wants to pull the aluminum roof off.
