What Thanksgiving Day represents in our home is a reminder that during the worst of times, be they shared or personal hardships, focusing on gratitude will carry us through to another day. That and we love an excuse to eat a meal comprised primarily of butter and cream.

eBay. It's all about shipping. Good packaging vs. Bad packaging & shipping costs. I got my first rave review on shipping when I double boxed the damn thing. Then a devastating one for a cancelled order because shipping cost ate all profit (except eBay's share). Yin Yang.

It is a bit alarming, when rereading Machiavelli's The Prince, that it lands as reportage rather than political theory. However, I find great comfort in the fact that they are really effing it up.
