What the Trump Admin is telling you.

-Don't record ICE
-Don't carry a gun around ICE
-Don't ask ICE for a warrant.

So that takes out the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Amendments.

If they are doing this to white people in broad daylight imagine what they are doing to non-white people in detention facilities.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

“Everyone should be allowed to carry a gun for their safety but the government can murder you in the street if you have a gun” is an incredible endpoint for the conservative moment

He's going to make the people of Venezuela rich. Because that's America First, am I right?
Trump: "This partnership of Venezuela with the United States of America, a country that everybody wants to be involved with because of what we're able to do and accomplish, will make the people of Venezuela rich, independent, and safe."

Chattel slavery was so bad that when we tell you how bad it in fact was most of y'all shut down and tell us we're making it up and pass laws against us ever telling you how bad it was again because your brains literally cannot handle how bad it in fact was.
"How bad slavery was" is worse. Much worse. Much worse than you think, much worse than you're taught, much worse than museums depict. Worse.

As end-of-empire scenarios go it is so much more dignified to get your capital city sacked by the Visigoths than to have a bunch of illiterate rich people in their 70s doing it through a series of incomprehensible tantrums because their brains were defeated by their phones.

Bringing a dependent?

We need to show we have enough money not just to cover our own costs but also theirs. Then there's the NHS surcharge.

If we get a 3 year visa, we need to pay costs upfront. That's thousands of pounds and months and months of stress.

And even then we don't qualify for welfare

As an immigrant, disinfo like this pisses me off.

We don't move here penniless. We can't.

EVERY international student brings £150K for tuition fees & living expenses. Then we work hard to make that money back and pay taxes.

Moving countries & careers is VERY HARD and we do it and we succeed.

An actual advisor to the president said this.

And look at what that 65 million number likely represents.

Glad to have made some of the decisions we’ve made.

Insert angry statement someone will try and make me feel bad about in the future
If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.

History lesson: Before and during the Civil Rights Movement, folks actually made religious arguments against integration and interracial marriage. Indeed, in the decision that gave rise to Loving v VA, the VA trial court said that God put the races on different continents to prevent race mixing.

Has all the insanity you can all see with your own eyes in the US and now the rest of the world worth that vote for the orange toddler king?

Good luck America.

There are a couple of kids in my nephews's class who weren't born in the US, and the class has decided (w/o teacher input) that if ICE shows up in they're all going to pretend not to speak English. 10yos reinventing "I am Spartacus" because they don't want their friends to get disappeared.

I’m relatively new to British politics but I would willingly inject this directly into my veins if they somehow turned it into a drug.

Obvious point: Most of the undocumented immigrants who are being rounded up are better Americans, in the ways that matter, than Donald J. Trump.
