50 years ago today, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior during a violent storm. From 1958-75, this Great Lakes freighter carried iron ore from Duluth to Detroit, Toledo, and other Great Lakes ports. Today, we remember and honor the life and legacy of the 29 souls lost.
