I moved here from Detroit in 2018 and while I love this place so incredibly much it is insane how bad the drivers are. Insane!

You see this? Drew Struzan didn’t need AI. And by that token, neither do any of us.
Take a few minutes to appreciate Drew Struzan creating the original artwork for THE PHANTOM MENACE. Truly a master at work.
Please understand I live here. There are people here working hard to push back against this administration. I think America is a broken and harmful country and I want to live to see that change. It is so unhelpful for people like you to foment absurd violence that would kill that chance.
4. The United States would accelerate deeper into to full bore fascism, and people would support it out of fear.

5. Any guerilla fighters would become hated by the majority, and the population would become further radicalized to the right because people would place blame on these militia groups.
2. They would use this as justification to persecute these groups on levels we have never seen before.

3. They would institute martial law, kill any chance of future elections, and further solidify power with the executive, and they’d do it with bipartisan support.
I will tell you exactly what would happen should a “well armed” militia start a guerilla war with ICE.

1. The administration would use it to further their narrative that the left is violent, and paint any group they don’t like (LGBTQ, minority, homeless, etc.) as dangerous terrorists.
The United Kingom is roughly the size of California with a modern population of around California and Texas combined. The United States are enormous. Even if any sort of guerilla action weren’t suicide given our surveillance state, the logistics are not remotely comparable.
I’ll begin by saying I have significant respect for what the IRA accomplished. I have Irish heritage and deeply appreciate Ireland’s solidarity with and support of oppressed groups.

To suggest that there’s any comparison between fighting the UK and fighting a guerilla war in the US is nonsense.

israel has already broken the ceasefire
I’m sorry - I just have to clarify. You are saying that me personally, I, should go to the store, buy a bunch of guns, hand them to my friends, and then charge an ICE facility with them? And anything less is “sleepwalking into tyranny?” I just want to understand what you mean in practice.
It’s not collaborating with the enemy when they’re on the same side now.
Who’s handing me personally a shovel? Keyboard warriors in Europe? You don’t make sense.

If you genuinely believe that militias opening fire on ICE facilities will result in anything but justification for complete martial law and millions of innocents dead then you are utterly delusional.
I’m not saying you’re wrong that may people around the world think this way, but anyone who does is a moron, to be blunt.

They are not doing even surface level research into who had the guns and clearly don’t understand how real insurgency/armed rebellion works.
I think No Kings events are important for engaging and organizing people who have not historically protested, but they do have limited impact by their nature as non-disruptive gatherings rather than real civil disobedience.

To your point though, the latter is not possible for many.
You think the Berlin Wall fell as a result of peaceful revolution? Jesus Christ, I can tell by your timeline that you’re naive but that one is rich. Please learn some actual history.
They also can’t begin to comprehend the logistics when they’re posting from a country the size of Wisconsin with 2 or 3 major cities.
The revolutions you listed took place in countries the size of one or two American states, with at most 15-20% of the US population. Organizing some nationwide strike or action here is nearly impossible, especially without healthcare or housing safety nets. Think before you post.
You have a vast misunderstanding of how organizing and demonstration works, as well as what living and working in a country without universal healthcare and real social safety nets works.
As someone firmly entrenched on the left I have to ask - what does revolution look like to you? People buying guns and starting a shooting war with ICE agents? Do you understand what the result of that would be?
