Fascinating approach to linking inequality to sector based inflation.
The affordability crisis is an inequality crisis. When prices spike in key sectors, it's not just inflation—it's a massive redistribution shock that hits poor households hardest.

This is just truly one of the most successful urban policies of our lifetimes and we need to replicate it in every major city.
In addition to all of the other benefits already reported about NYC congestion pricing, "In the first six months of the program, air pollution – in the form of particulate matter 2.5 micrometers and smaller – dropped by 22% in the Congestion Relief Zone (CRZ)"

BREXIT has cost us dearly.
The UK is losing up to £250m a day in lost tax revenue due to the economic impact of Brexit, House of Commons Library analysis for the Lib Dems suggests.

Brexit has blown a "black hole of [up to] £90 billion a year in the public finances" the party says. Even under lower estimates the hit is ~£65bn

This is great for those like me who live on the Lizzie line but one does wonder why can't the rest of the UK have this level of investment.
The Elizabeth line shows how quality transport infrastructure in London can unlock opportunities for people and places across the country.

This vital work in Derby makes clear that investing in the capital’s transport network doesn’t just benefit Londoners but drives wider economic growth.

Instead of doubling down on airport expansion, the UK should focus on sustainable transport and policies that genuinely grow the economy without destroying the climate.
