☢️#154. Slipstream, 1989. On paper this is a no fail #postapocalyptic blockbuster with all-star caliber talent behind and in front of camera. But fail it did. Not without its creativity and charm (Paxton), but promises of adventure mostly result in endless glider montages. And yes, #MarkHamill! 3/5 ☢️

This was a film I expected very little of, and then it basically blew me away. Literally nobody expected Costner to come up with such a good western so late in his career. And Duvall... Oh my God.

Rewatch complete of Kevin Costner’s slow burn western that’s love letter to the open range and a way of life long gone. Terrific cast with Costner and Duvall’s chemistry elevating the movie. Sweeping score, beautiful cinematography and when it hits brutal and unflinching violence.

I saw #Wishmaster3, 2001.
Eh, this wasn't pretty. For first 30 minutes I was enjoying this extra low budget DTV sequel, then it went almost completely off the rails. Stupid and boring. And that thing they did with the actor change... Inexcusable. You'll know when you see it.

This supposed gem of science fiction horror was placed on my to watch list more than thirty years ago, after I had read about it in Stephen King's Danse Macabre. Why I haven't seen it to this day, is a complete mystery to me. Maybe this year I will finally rectify that.
