Local police departments and other groups need to get ahead of this now. It's clearly a dry run for the 2026 and 2028 elections. Let it be a dry run also for those who oppose this administration's attempt to interfere with elections.

I'm thinking Trump's $230M demand works even if he never gets the money. It is yet another way he can falsely claim to his idiot followers that he won those cases and it was all just Dems out to get him. I can almost hear those chumps: "Why would he ask for the money if he didn't win those cases?"

I'm skeptical. Even if they pass such a law, this administration and its pathetic GOP will ignore it. Perhaps one way to get it passed is to remind Republicans that only Democrats will follow it.
