Context very important. I have a notion of writing a history of my Gather’s family in America for my children. They’ve been prominent, destitute, and shunned, often within the same generation. The tiny details are indeed often bring significant resonance.

This is fascinating, as I was an avid reader of history in my youth, and attribute it to many positive things as I’ve matured. The “process of history” is an apt expression.
