I honestly think that a lot of the problems in the UK are traceable to so many people thinking that the rules shouldn't apply to them.

The election of St Peter as Bishop of Rome was more rigged against the Emperor Tiberius than when the Senate refused to vote to confer divine honours on him. Also what he got up to on his private island is none of your business - Stephanus Bannon

It’s all very well Remainers sighing and telling us that all this is just the consequences of our own actions but several notorious liars said there would be no downsides, so … well … er.

Given the English electorate's record for clear thinking over the last 10 years I expect Reform to romp home.
I'm writing about Reform's chances in the Denton and Gorton by-election - and what impact Matthew Goodwin's selection may have on Reform's voice and agenda.

How do people see the Feb 27th by-election going?

THIS!
I've never known anyone who was obsessed with immigration who wasn't an out and out loser and an absolute racist bigot.

I'm saying it because it's simply not said enough.

So four matches but the only one not mentioned in the headline is Everton's. Good job I'm not as paranoid about their coverage of us as some supporters.

Of course Starmer has made mistakes but his mistakes didn't cost 20,000 lives, destroy our public services, leave our armed forces living in squalid housing, make us a laughing stock on the global stage and ruin our relationship with the EU. 14 years of misrule can't be fixed in 19 months.

Starmer has lost control of his party and the country “is not being governed” says Tory leader Kemi Badenoch who miraculously appears to have diagnosed it now but failed to do so when she served in the cabinet of Liz Truss.

Perhaps she will discover irony next.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

What Labour MPs learned from the recent Tory regimes is that the way to electoral success and good governance is to change your leader etc every two minutes. Really gives the impression of a party in control of itself and the country.
Talk has turned to who replaces Starmer (again).

Labour MP tonight:

“As far as I'm concerned, Starmer is done. What matters is what's next. If it's Angela, the honeymoon lasts a week. If it's Wes, a month. If it's Al, 6 months. Hard to see how it turns around beyond that.”
