I think the biggest sin of the Shanahan/Dubas Leafs was that it was very clear in all their moves that they read the papers and heard the talk shows and cared about what was said
Should have kept Lou to negotiate better contracts is a wild take. Any perceived gains on the Matthews/Marner deals would be erased by more Marleau and Zaitsev contracts and might include a Nylander trade. No thank you
