Not sure I understand the news value in bringing Tom Cotton on your TV show to repeat a monstrous lie you watched him say on television earlier this week

Democrats need to lay the groundwork for reform by attacking the villains on the Supreme Court - loudly, angrily, personally, relentlessly. And they should start now.

Democrats Need to Treat the Supreme Court Like the Villain It Is
The Court is out of control, and we'll never see reform unless we build the case for it. Starting now.

He’s right. I *hate* it but those are the (rigged) rules of the game, and we can either play by the “fair” rules and lose democracy or we can play the game sitting in front of us and then fix the rules to be fair again after we regain power from the cheaters.

It’s not cheating now. The refs say so.
Now that SCOTUS has validated gerrymandering for any racist arbitrary reason imaginable—EVERY Blue state Governor needs to redistrict their state to completely eliminate red seats.

This is the MAGA precedent. It is law now. Run with it. Beat MAGAs at their own game. Vote MAGAs out permanently.

You have to understand it in the Nazi worldview. Just look at Musk’s posts. Brown people existing, and potentially trying to move to America, is an existential threat to Nazis. The drug stuff is just a ruse. They want to make it deadly to come to America.
I cannot imagine the level of moral bankruptcy to describe the actions of people whose boat has just been hit by a missile from nowhere (this was the FIRST such strike) and who were most likely making a desperate attempt not to drown in the ocean as trying to "stay in the fight."
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

Agree it would also be murder if they were drug smugglers.

But drug smugglers don’t put 11 people on a small boat. That’s valuable weight/space that could be used for more drugs!

These monsters double-tapped a bunch of refugees.
Not like it would be justified if they were drug smugglers, but I think it hasn't gotten enough focus that a boat with 11 people onboard heading from Venezuela to Trinidad was almost certainly migrants. These were probably, at least for some of them, people fleeing Maduro. That's who they murdered.

Public smoking bans just got in under the wire, too. Younger folks might not realize how rare they used to be and how hard they were to enact.
it is MIRACULOUS that we got rid of lead paint and asbestos when we did. if we had tried that today, there would be people whining about how we're restricting their rights.

One of the reasons a lot of people aren't taking Trump's actual fascism seriously is because of leftists calling everything they don't like 'fascist' for the last 6 decades. No, Ontario is NOT a 'fascist state'. We are governed by a corrupt idiot, but not a fascist in any meaningful sense.

A very concerning moment in Milwaukee. Giannis falls down on a non-contact injury and has to summon the trainer onto the floor.

Talk about a day for Giannis and the Bucks franchise. Here's hoping this is not a serious injury 🙏

Wrote a little thing trying to understand a TV phenomenon I find fascinating: why do so many of the greatest episodes of all time contain almost no plot
Plot Isn’t as Important to Great TV as You Think
From “Pine Barrens” and “Forks” to “The Suitcase” and “Connor’s Wedding,” many of the century’s best TV episodes don’t rely on plot—at least in the traditional sense. How does that work?

I’m kind of new to the Democrats, but I thought we were FOR respecting the legal process, and also that we were AGAINST political corruption. And that it was especially important to hold to these principles at this time.

But I guess there’s some insider memo I didn’t get that would set me straight?
