I’m a Portland medical malpractice lawyer advocating for patients and their families. I’ve been a political junkie since the early 1970s when I had my first paper route and started reading about the Vietnam war everyday.

So I thought I would give a short introduction to myself.
I’ve been a political junky since I started reading the newspaper at age 11 when I got my first paper route.
I was encouraged to join this site by Josh Marshall of TPM, which I’ve been reading since the 2000 election, when it started.
My fav from Portland No Kings!
All legit. Though Martyrdom is not for everyone or even most and attempts to become one are low success rate and high risk.
We just don’t want violence, which it seems like you’re advocating.

If not, what “diversity of tactics” are you talking about?
Puppies are cute. Trump is disgusting.
I agree with your sentiment. But it’s better if you’re just guessing to say so. Verifiable facts are important.
What’s the source for this assertion that he tapped the Social Security fund for the money for Argentina?
TIA.
Article I, Section 9, Clause 7: "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law"

Trump is stealing from the Treasury to support his government shutdown.
How about Republicans stop acting like fascist Nazis and authoritarians and we’ll still stop calling them that.
uh…. Oh. Now I’m the one who feels silly. Just scroll! Thanks!!!!!
I mean, really what can you expect from a guy named Maligno?
Yea but it doesn’t. When I tap on this reply it just brings me out of notifications to this reply and nothing else.
When somebody replies to one of my posts, how do I quickly go to the post to see which one it is they’re replying to?
You could have just said Republican and that would have covered all of this.
Article I, Section 9, Clause 7: "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law"

So, my question is what "law" gave Trump the power to send $20 (now $40) billion to Argentina?
Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution explicitly grants Congress the power "To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises" and "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations."

Fuck Trump, and the rest of you Republicans giving away our government to him.
The Constitution itself, actually:

Article I, Section 9, Clause 7: "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law"

No "law" gave Trump the power to send $20 billion to Argentina.

The Charlie Kirk show? In other words, gaslighting.
