Nehmen wir einmal an, in Essen käme ein Spiel namens "Punchline" heraus (das englische Wort für "Pointe"). In dem Spiel schlüpft man in die Rolle eines Comedians und muss Witze schreiben, Termine buchen, auf Tour gehen, Werbung machen etc. Es handelt sich um…

Nehmen wir einmal an, in Essen käme ein Spiel namens "Punchline" heraus (das englische Wort für "Pointe"). In dem Spiel schlüpft man in die Rolle eines Comedians und muss Witze schreiben, Termine buchen, auf Tour gehen, Werbung machen etc. Es handelt sich um ein knallhartes Wirtschaftsspiel und wurde sehr ausführlich recherchiert, alles macht einen realistischen Eindruck. Es ist aber auch sehr humorbefreit - ein Optimiereuro eben.

You wrote that"interpretation is part of play"but thats no contradiction to my post-I need to write about anything I interpret in my play to have a review.

It is possible to write solely about rules or rephrase the pitch of the game, without writing about anything experienced,but thats no review

Thats not a contradiction.

If I just retextualize rules for example, I might have interpreted stuff during my play, but if it doesnt show up in the review, it doesnt matter from my perspective as a reader

He probably forgot to add "by the creators of the game", i.e. it is possible to be paid by a news outlet for example. Or Patreon.

Or else it would be a very radical position.

It would be hard to pinpoint the exact point (how many grains for a hill?), but there is a lower limit of impression/interpretation a review can contain without being a mere summary of the thing itself.
