Idk the actual term to use but tbf he did a damned good job of explaining what it is and how to use the idea when thinking about fairness and that’s not really easy imo. Also full disclosure I read him on the back of Hilary Putnam who I found dark souls level difficult.

Having watched Battle Royale over a decade before PUBG/Fortnite/etc I was completely turned off by the entire genre. Extraction shooters like Hunt give it a little more flavor but not enough to make it interesting to me.

I’m very close to the age DFW was when he killed himself and I’m listening to 90 minutes of an unedited interview that’s so full of familiar narcissistic insecurity I’ve been close to tears at points in awe that we have made it even to this age.
