As both a Ninja Turtles and Magic: The Gathering fan, I'm excited for this for so many reasons. Not the least of which is this is the first Magic set that I had the privilege of contributing creative text for. These cards look so great. Congrats to the whole team! #MTGxTMNT

Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.

Three years of work. Forty years of turtles!
And now we are at the BIG REVEAL!
I am so excited to share this set with everyone! It’s really a love letter to all the versions of TMNT that helped shape me as a creator over my life!

Gonna need people to support middle grade and YA titles bc where do we think adult readers come from!! If kids don’t have good books to read from like 8 - 12 they are going to stop reading 😭😭😭😭

I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.

The kids actually made animals that don't exist. The AI just put a bunch of stuff that already exists together into a polished slop blender. You can't get a better illustration of why AI can't create anything new while human creativity is bottomless.

My favorite artifact in the "you don't need AI to do art" discourse is, of course, screenwriter Dan O'Bannon's sketch of the facehugger to explain it to Giger.

Catherine O’Hara was a legend.
2026, why you gotta keep kicking us when we’re down? 😭
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Catherine O’Hara. A beloved actor & comedian, she was a two-time Actor Award winner & a current nominee this year. Her brilliance left an indelible mark on film & TV. Our condolences to her family, colleagues & legions of fans. 💔

Now that it's in the Nat'l Film Registry, everyone please watch William Beaudine's SPARROWS (1926).

A teenager attempts to rescue abducted children in this harrowing silent film produced by + starring industry pioneer Mary Pickford.

The restoration is on Tubi and Hoopla w/ a lovely score. #FilmSky

Me watching Mary Poppins as a kid: “Give Michael back his tuppence so he can feed the birds, you dirty old man!”

Me watching it now: “What’s your annual percentage yield on that tuppence and are you FDIC insured in case there’s a run on this bank, you dirty old man?”

What?! This book is insanely good, and I can’t believe they’re making it a show.
A show about doing it. (Crime.) (…Ok and the other thing.) Very excited for Sex Criminals.

If you haven’t already, now’s a good time to donate to PBS and see Ken Burns’s 12-hour multipart “The American Revolution” documentary series.

2026 is kicking us all in the ass, including me.

I was laid off from my long term gig this week, so I am officially looking for full time work again if anyone needs an animation writer or narrative designer.

It’s rough out there for everyone so here’s hoping the pendulum starts to swing back soon.

I ain’t got time to watch all that.
Happy for you though.
Or sorry that happened.
