Cowabunga! This was the first set I had the privilege of writing creative text for, and I’m so excited I can finally talk about it. So much fun to dip my toe back into the world of TMNT, and contributing to Magic: The Gathering has been a dream! 🍕🐢 #MTGxTMNT

As someone who loves both Star Trek and Star Wars for different reasons (and can recognize the triumphs and flaws of both) I find it deeply silly to believe there is any such war between the two outside of the minds of the worst kinds of fans, much less that it’s clear that either “side” has won.
You ever think about just how handily Star Trek has won the Star Wars/Star Trek war? Turns out making a lot of good content is really hard!

I’d make Netflix make a feature-length follow up to every series they prematurely cancelled, starting with The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, plus a mandated one-month theatrical window and guaranteed release on physical media.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

If you like an author's work, the best thing you can do is buy it. The second best thing you can do is ask your local library to buy it. Or, do both!
A reminder that the median book deal for a debut author in the UK is £7000, paid over 12-18 months. (from 2022 Society of Authors report). Some of your favourite writers are struggling. societyofauthors.org/2022/12/06/a....

To be fair to the OP, I don’t think this how they meant it, but movies for kids are just as valid and valuable as movies for adults.
"But Pixar makes movies for adults, too!"

No, babe, they don't. They're make movies for kids, and if we, as adults, happen to enjoy them, too, that's just gravy.

We all know Mamdani is charming, persuasive, and politically savvy, but have we considered he may also possess the transformative power of song and sick dance moves like in Captain EO?

Reminder that the vast majority of indie artists/super small businesses cannot afford to discount their work for Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday.

Do not complain about it.

Buy from them anyway!

Watching the Mr. Scorsese doc compelled me to start a chronological rewatch of all his movies, but I started Taxi Driver before I realized I skipped over ItalianAmerican, and I feel like I’ve brought shame to my family.

Most parents want to share their favorite things with their kids, but a vastly underrated joy of being a parent is when their kids share their favorite things with you.

Francesca Scorsese and her dad Marty are delightful, but the funniest part of this is how quickly he gets Cape Fear.
Martin Scorsese and his daughter Francesca read Letterboxd reviews and guessed which Scorsese movie they were about.

Whether the Dodgers or Blue Jays won, they both deserved it, I’m just glad someone won before midnight L.A. time. I don’t think I’ve seen a final game (game 7 no less) with so many twists and turns going into extra innings like that and end on such a nail-biter. Epic World Series! ⚾️

I’m folding laundry and watching Rogue One, and my son pokes his head in from this other room and asks, “Which Star Wars movie is this? Oh, is this Andor?” and I just nodded, “Yes.”

I don’t make it up to Hollywood that often these days, but when I do, it’s to take the family to the world premiere of the new SpongeBob Movie: The Search for Squarepants at AFI Fest with special bonus short Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 Lost in New Jersey. I blazed through the excellent 5-hr “Mr. Scorsese” doc. It’s only problems are it’s still too short, and now I need to watch every single Martin Scorsese movie again.
