I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.

The kids actually made animals that don't exist. The AI just put a bunch of stuff that already exists together into a polished slop blender. You can't get a better illustration of why AI can't create anything new while human creativity is bottomless.

I haven’t watched the recent seasons of Strange New Worlds, but here’s my Star Trek hot take:
I have no interest in Year One. Give me Year Five! How does their mission end? Why does Spock quit? How does Kirk commit the greatest unforced error in Starfleet history by giving the Enterprise to Decker?

Not to be back on my Star Wars shit, but it’s wild to me that The Force Awakens is 10 years old. It both seems like it came out last year and a lifetime ago. And I don’t care what anyone says about the sequel/Disney era, but the one-two-three punch of TFA+Rogue One+The Last Jedi was 😚🤌
