If I leave the curtains open
I can see the stars,
Or, in the day time, Jackdaws
Doing cartwheels in the narrow strip of sky
Above the house.
If I leave the curtains open
I can see the stars,
Or, in the day time, Jackdaws
Doing cartwheels in the narrow strip of sky
Above the house.
And worn patches on the stairs.
The passage of time.
