I find this move hilarious due to the fact there's an in-game soundtest with over a hundred songs included right when Bananza was out.
It's not like they don't have all the recordings to justify the "finish it later" approach.

THIS is what I want to see third parties do more of when publishing Switch 2 games, selling them on an ACTUAL physical cartridge. It's good to see indie studios, like Playtonic, knowing the exact assignment.
Yooka-Replaylee is coming to Switch 2 and will have a regular physical release with the entire game on the cartridge.
It will NOT be a game key card.

I seriously hope day-one releases of Nintendo Music are a decision going forward. Not only does this keep users engaged, but also shows Nintendo's appreciation of their own recent compositions.
Incredible addition! This tool should be taken at its fullest advantage.

ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE UPDATE:
We're adding redesigned pause menus into ANTONBLAST because the TV static ones are sauceless and hurt our eyes. Gotta admit, I missed doing visual design on this game.

I'm finding it really really funny that literally every outlet is adding "just" to this statement to make it seem like Nintendo completely shut down any romantic connotations.
It's also from a post that has been available on the Nintendo Today! app for months at this point.

Man, looking back at a 6 month old post sure was interesting.
While Mona didn't make the cut sadly, there is however a "Drifting Away" remix in the jukebox and a Captain Wario costume. I'm glad there's still WarioWare representation, though.

Honestly I feel like remake soundtracks should drop at the same time as their og counterparts. Mainly bc it'd make the padding less obvious ☠️

I might repeat this until my death but the parasocial aspects of people talking about Iwata still annoys me to no end as they just forget everything bad he did at Nintendo as well. He did a lot of good, but he also said a lot of bad for us

Nintendo Music's screenshots for Mario U have an interesting detail.
Normal variants of stage themes choose Mario as the player, whereas Luigi can be seen in hurry-up variants resembling Luigi U.
Such a nice easter egg I honestly wouldn't expect to be implemented.
