I think most of my followers are switched on enough to not take medical advice from the American administration, and I'm sure there's already a thread someone has written about the science, but paracetamol (acetaminophen) does not cause autism and is safe when used as directed.

Doctors generally advise against the use of NSAIDs (incl. ibuprofen, aspirin, diclofenac) in pregnancy, which have proven risks to fetal safety, particularly in the second and third trimester. Fear-mongering about paracetamol is going to cause real harm to unborn babies.
