i also got a pegboard from ikea and painted it the same baywater color, and added a big framed wooden mirror by the back door. lots of wood and brass!!
WHAT a fun question. i can't paint the cabinets rn so to work with the honey oak wood i switched out the hardware from silver to matte black with warm brass to match the black granite countertop. and then painted it from baby blue to this bay water color, which goes with the dark den color!
honestly the funniest thing about that song (which i think is silly and funny, and i enjoy!) is that it's so comparatively tame it wouldn't even make the cut on a sabrina carpenter album
i feel like people are being so deeply weird about her new album rn it's bizarre. acting like her making an album that maybe you don't vibe with as much is the same as her coming at you with a bayonet
also i called the moving company to see if i could reserve another hour and they were like 'ma'am your move is so far away we can't do that yet' excuse me sir but forgive a bish who is eleven days out for trying to be PROACTIVE and not REACTIVE over here
handyman booked for thursday, floor guys booked for monday tuesday, deep cleaner booked for next thursday, parents arrive next friday, i move next saturday. i would say that i don't necessarily feel OVERwhelmed but i do feel a steadily higher level of whelm than is really comfortable
will do! so far i really like the handyman company - they gave me an itemized estimate with everyone on my list so i was able to go in and strike out what i decided to skip to save money, and got it revised and back to me in like ten minutes, and they've been great at communicating. fingers crossed!
and i liked that i was able to talk to them through the app first before moving to text. but now i've got both a contractor booked for thursday and a cleaner booked for next week to do a deep move in clean so i'm hopeful that this will do the trick!
so i have been sleeping like shit and awake at 2am for no reason (HA HA) and during one of these times i downloaded the thumbtack app! since i haven't gotten the work done by these people yet i don't wanna give it the full recommend, but honestly getting quotes was fast and very very easy
which i think in the industry they like to call "character growth"?? anyway we'll see i got a price quote back from my first handyman option and the number made me want to fall down the holes in my subfloor
my parents came into town this wknd and were project powerhouses with me. my to-do list is still literally keeping me up at night but i feel like i am finally over the hump. i've also (physically) hit a bit of a wall and have to accept that i simply cannot do it all and am contracting out a handyman
sorry i am so boring and only talk about CONDO these days but it's literally all i am doing in my free time besides rotting on the couch watching stupid youtube shorts with a heating pad on my bad shoulder. but the new floors are IN. they will be refinished next WEEK. i have painted so many ROOMS.
roomba is currently trapped in his home under the bookshelf by a wall of boxes filled for things with the yard sale which is the only reason he's not hearing this idea and screaming about it rn
in better news i ordered one of those rolly-polly low benches mechanics use so i can sit on it and scoot around CONDO as i paint the remaining eight thousand miles of remaining trim. it will not defeat me
--i mean i can't literally stop CONDO because i signed a lot of paperwork and now i am responsible for health and happiness of CONDO. and also my google doc checklist of CONDO to do is three pages long. and i move in in two weeks and a half weeks. CONDO cannot be stopped....
