The Americans are pretty much insisting that other OECD countries are their enemies.

Very odd to see someone proudly state that he's incompetent at his job, but I guess that's just the American mindset these days.

Q: Seattle has 6 Cup games. How close are you gonna be watching that city with the crime?

TRUMP: If we think that the mayor of LA is incompetent -- everybody knows that. If they let the water come in that wouldn't have happened...if we think there's gonna be trouble, I would ask Gianni to move it

Allvin's defence of EP40 was frustrating af. He goes on about how he cares more about the team reaching 100 points than if the player reaching 100 points. We're not getting either! What are you on about?!?

I've heard so many times people say that Kamala Harris lost. They just can't understand that elections are about a choice in government policies & their impact on people.

KH didn't lose. These poor souls did. Those who got snapped by ICE never to be seen again did.

A pox on those who enabled this.

Canada’s true uniqueness is that every few years we de facto make the leader of the often 1-seat Green Party our supreme authority and it really hasn’t failed yet
Dimitri Soudas, former Harper comms guy, told RadCan this morning that he's hearing Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux will cross the floor to the Liberals today.

If this happens, the Liberals are one seat short of a majority. You know what that means.

That's right.

70% of Canadians say they’d accept slower economic growth if it meant more economic independence from the U.S.

That sentiment cuts across age, region, and party lines — a rare point of unity.

Is there another country with established democratic institutions whose political leaders openly advance the notion of citizens getting representation as a problem?
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"

One in four Americans are in support of the indiscriminate and summary killing of Venezuelans by their government. Unreal. As cooked a society as I've ever seen.

Don't tread on me, but do squash them into smithereens.
More Americans disapprove than approve of the U.S. Navy attacking and destroying ships in the sea around Venezuela. Disapproval is higher by a two-to-one margin among Independents.

My hot take is that Carney apologizing is both bad optics and bizarre in its intent, but ultimately has greater downside domestically than bilaterally.

Trump's response of suspending talks & stating that he's adding more tariffs because of the ad weakens his position.
