Octopus appreciator. Also a fan of hippos, literature, etymology, Linux & left-liberal policies, goats, music of many types, Mr Robot, comic books & the elderly Boston Terrier I inherited. She is the best
Early in the relationship with my partner the flat above hers had a smoke detector start chirping. After a day+ of it happening, i broke into the flat, replaced the batteries & let myself back out

May be why the relationship lasted

Mustard, peanut butter, & spinach toastie/fried sandwich with a side of sauerkraut or gherkins is a top tier lunch. Different breads & mustards keeps things interesting

Yeah, like a health barn, well-being shed, garage of benificence or, for the space restricted, prosperousness cupboard

If memory serves Van Ronk was the inspiration for the Llewyn Davis character in the film Inside Llewyn Davis

I'm not on here to argue, but it was your word choice rather than your grammar

I suspect you will be able to install a Linux distro on it so it doesn't prematurely end up as rubbish

Always preferred Christmas from a distance. Like the good it brings out in people towards each other but enjoy being alone. Since living with my partner obliged to spend it with her family, & her Mum fucking loves the tacky, bullshit, capitalist side that's abhorrent to me. Increasingly intolerable

I despise this affectation of including 'hear me out' in a post. When I encounter it, that's where I stop reading. What's written should hold the readers attention enough without the plea

I've been known to walk away without the money I just requested. Always a cold, stomach-sinking feeling when realisation dawns

First time at a metal/Goth club some 30 odd years ago. Mates & I sat on a beer garden bench. Random feller sat at the end of the bench, silent & unsmiling. As dusk became dark became night it was revealed he was wearing glow in the dark facepaint, drawn in a wonderful smile. Think of him often

IMO that's a very small element of the 1st season. If you enjoyed the 1st episode, then you might enjoy the rest once that part's done

Biased because I think it's a masterpiece

If you decide to go back to it, don't look anything up about it, but commit to finishing S01. Would love your thoughts

Led a fairly debauched life when younger. At 43, it occurred to me that I'd come through the madness pretty healthy all told. Later the same afternoon I had that thought, I threw my knee out as I sat down onto the sofa

To be explicit, I am critical of you for this post, & you've minimised other criticism with "because I added a link?" type responses. No, not because you added a link, because you started your reply to someone close to bombs landing with "Was it too hard for you to add a link?"

You utter tosspot

Linux4noobs is an increasingly popular subreddit with a decent share of members who are happy & able to help when people want to transition

There's a good range of distros to choose from (& a distro selection tool at the top of the sub)

Win10 ending has prompted many to switch & appreciate Linux
