I kinda hope there is a Caves of Qud switch 2 release with full handheld resolution on the S2, once more important bugs are squashed.

I *think* it currently is using s1 resolution, and looking at the switch version beside steam deck is very noticable difference in sharpness.

They raided the jailed children to steal their letters.

The problem, in federal officials' minds, wasn't confining children in prison-camp conditions; it was that the children could tell the public about it.
“I don’t want to be in this place I want to go to my school.”

- 7 year old imprisoned by ICE for 70 days in a concentration camp in Texas.

Today, after @propublica.org published this story, the camp was raided to confiscate letters from the children.

Ongoing thread.
At city hall this morning. They won’t let me take pictures inside today. So this is the rally before I walked in.

i think lots of people underestimate how badly these “AI” companies want people to be unable to afford computers. they view personal computing as a roadblock to their desire for complete end-to-end centralization. the fact that their tech is putting hardware out of reach is not just a happy accident

Love that AI, a thing we hate and don’t want, steals everything, ruins everything, shittifies everything. Drinks our water, plagiarizes our art, pisses all over our information fidelity, drives kids to suicide, serves the right-wing, and fucks up our devices and services. Good job, techbros!

If I started doing chill streams occasionally (low / no talking, calm games like RuneScape or Caves of Qud or Mahjong), would anyone be interested in that?

Thinking relaxing tunes, chill games and chatting; though not sure if that's entirely too boring.

@cavesofqud.com on switch is excellent, however be aware there are some crashes (at least, on Switch 2).

It is worth saving and quitting every so often, otherwise you may lose a lot of progress.

I imagine there will be patches.

It's really a problem that the state of OS updates is such that publications feel the need to inform their users whether or not a certain update is safe to apply, because so often windows and macos updates just.. aren't anymore.

I wonder if qud releases in 10 minutes or sometime tomorrow. I appreciate the countdown a lot of platforms have, curious why Nintendo doesn't.
February 16, 2026 at 4:49 AM
Really hoping qud on switch 2 just works and can dig in tomorrow. Knowing it wasn't tested on that platform is a bummer though.

Nintendo needs to sort out dev kits. I do not understand how they managed to slow roll the launch so hard and still not deliver kits.

I used to have an animation teacher who would walk around the class randomly yelling "make sure you save" or "when did you last save?".

Has stuck with me ever since.

Sure is fun watching companies that exclusively produce things people despise gobble up all the components needed to build a computer.

Western Digital and Micron deserve whatever comes when the AI bubble pops.

Western Digital has recently announced that it sold all of the year's hard-drive inventory to AI companies.

In other words, prepare for huge SSD price surges.
