You can use the depth buffer with a bump offset function to mask sprites by depth and conform them to the geometry. This is especially convenient for dynamic fake light, UI elements, character damage effects… #realtimeVFX #UnrealEngine #gamedev #vfx

A Photoshop workflow trick for those who still partake;

You can name your layers with ".PNG" or ".jpg" on the end and go to
File>Generate>Image Assets
or
File>Automate>Generator Plugins>Image Assets.

It will create a new folder in the PSD's location with those things and will auto export them

For questions about how I handle Weight Paint on my rigs, I usually just use empty vertex groups with weight 1.0 to rig this mechanical meshes.
