And no, we don't already have this. The public defender is only available in criminal cases, and 42 states (including Illinois) charge for and means test the public defender and use those fees for their general funds.

And now ICE killed another woman! Jesus christ. I feel like I'm going insane. We're still getting reports on the ground the ICE is ransacking smaller cities and towns, and I feel like our political leader should be tearing these guys to pieces with their teeth but we get fucking nothing.

i didn't interact much with Lud when I would go to xanadu but he seemed cool, really nobody should have to deal with fucking ICE regardless but admittedly it's getting to me because it's so close to home, it's happening to peers who live right around you, all the time. that could be me.
