In the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Rosalina fights Megaleg. However, the real Megaleg from the game is much larger than one would expect and would have made Rosalina almost impossible to see when zoomed out. The size of the one in the movie is closer to Digga-Leg.

anyways, nothing is wrong with going individual emulator by emulator. each console is going to get more precise and efficient by the year, and it's not worth it to stick yourself to one of these "all in one" programs that usually end up using stolen or rickety old versions of outdated emulators.
