I am gloom
in the gloaming I lurk
I obscure
cos the glimmer is gone
I’m the room with no door
it’s a shadow of foggy
a fuzzy down-sink
cover goldness with sadly
a shroud you can’t lift
there’s no bright, clear or cheery
it’s gloommas all year
deck our halls with spite, shadow and doom
it’s a new way of life
can you feel it
I’m here
even shadows have dark
silent
muffling sound and eye
muffling hope, life and you

I am messy I dropped it
let pile up
the mess
it has gravity pulling
the scraps and the rest
all the bits and scrogs
iron shards
twiglets and logs
dust and new soil
bits bobblers and bobs
I not tidy not ordered
I not put away
all my tatters a shambles
and mussy my hair
I’m a bumbling scrumble
a messy of words
I entropic
I here
you will fall to the mess

I am gloom I have minions
my gloomlings are one
they exude gloomy darksmoke
rub eyes can’t seen none
globberkins spewing bad luck
cruel warping and weft
and gleegobblers eat happy
to leave you bereft

but I mess I have messers
my scrufflebock sure
tip things over
and drop things
make mess on the floor
offerkast pile of cast-offs
in your house a hoard
hintelpott the unsorted
try hide it away
for the shameful if seen it
the mess with no name

when we meet
when we meet

we’re alive in the glooming
a beautiful mess
in the sky
a creative
chaotic caress
we need this for the making
so arting we might
glitter softly in darkness
mess-gloomy starlight

here's the before / after from water blending the water-soluble oil pastel crayons

+ve - smoother, less white space which i abhor in my own art
-ve - muddier, washed out colours

my next shambolic experiment in art will be layering and water blending without first finger blending
