Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

Keep calling your senators regardless of the vote total. The goal is to move their public position beyond this to stances that embrace abolish, impeach, prosecute. Those have to become publicly normalized positions as we enter the bigger battle of midterm campaigns.
Both of Nevada's senators--Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen--have officially come out against the DHS funding bill following the execution of Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis this morning. This effectively ends the DHS funding bill in the Senate.

Authoritarianism doesn’t announce itself. It arrives wrapped in “security,” “order,” and “law enforcement.” Minneapolis is being used as a proving ground. If we don’t stop this now, we may not get another chance.

You do not need to traumatize yourself to be a better person, a better activist, to better oppose the people and forces engaged in this murderous evil. You just need to know it's happening and take action.

I'm horrified and angry all the time now. I know it isn't healthy but the alternative - that any of this becomes remotely normalized or I begin to feel hopeless in the face of such unrelenting cruelty and evil - is worse.

The Senate Switch Board Number is: (202)224-3121.
We are calling our senators right now and demanding that they vote no on the omnibus with DHS funding

We are explicitly mentioning ICE’s murder in cold blood of a man on the streets of Minneapolis this morning

Trump and the US have realized they have nothing to offer Canada. They don't produce anything of value. All they do is consume. This is about power and control, and we're not going to take it anymore.

I don't know what to say. The kidnapping of innocent children. Executions in the street. I don't know how to live in a world filled with such unmitigated, incomprehensible evil.

I want to press Beauty and the Besharam into the hands of every girl whose ever been told she's "too much". The FMC is unapolegetically ambitious, competitive, bold and outspoken. With a heartwarming female friend group, evolving sister dynamic, rivals-to-lovers romance and LGBTQ+ cast, it's a gem!

Nice try, MAGA, but the truth is in 40 million people's DNA, in hundreds of slave testimonials, eyewitness accounts, and the Federal Writers' Project.

Trump wouldn't even have a White House to desecrate if it wasn't for enslaved laborers.

I’m done arguing that audiobooks count as reading or that the romance genre deserves respect. Those saying otherwise aren’t worth my time and attention.

If you enjoy contemporary YA, First Love Language is a must-read. A teen takes steps to reconnect with her first language, Taiwanese heritage and biological mother while grieving the recent death of her father. Beautiful and affirming, with an inclusive cast of LGBT+ characters and charming romance.
