My Dad used to cycle to work every day. When he was in his 50s, someone pulled out of a side road without looking, ran him down, and hospitalised him. He bought a car, never cycled again, and eventually died after years of awful obesity related health issues.

I'm so sorry.

I cannot "like" this post. It's too trite.

The blood test was done by Occupational Health due to working where I do. I don't know how you'd get it done otherwise.

I also had a second MMR jab on Monday (because the recommendation is now two doses): it was almost painless and my arm hasn't been sore at all.

And tomorrow is Flu Jab day.

“Using a wheelchair and mobility scooter allows me to pace and manage my pain."

This is a lovely account from Amanda on learning to pace during activity and how she uses a variety of mobility aids at different times to manage chronic conditions.

That sounds pretty good to me.

I am profoundly disappointed in my immune system.

I vividly remember having chicken pox when I was nine years old. It was a miserable week.

But a blood test shows I no longer have antibodies.

I've therefore been booked to have a Varicella vaccination at Occupational Health.

It's booked in for Wednesday. I promise to provide updates.

That's a stunningly perfect rose.

I bet you're not as slow as me. I am not built for speed.

Do you have any experience of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals’ new patient data system, either as a patient or a staff member?

If so, and you would like to contribute to a piece in The Tribune, anonymously if you prefer, please email [email protected].

I've booked it in with my bicycle repair man. I sent him the same video and he was also puzzled.

A good knife blade is definitely worth the effort of a new handle.
ppushbike.bsky.social
Oof! How did you do that?

Hope it feels better soon.

Everything seems to be securely attached.

I had a dream last night that I was cycle instructing and bolts just started dropping off my bike all over the place, so my bike was surrounded by a mountain of bolts in the middle of a school playground.

My analogue bike is making an irregular creaky clicking noise. What is it???

(Sound on, obvs)
ppushbike.bsky.social
I'll be annoyed if it is, because it was serviced in the summer.

Pedalling and freewheeling and when pushing the bike with a bit of pressure on the saddle.

Mudguards and rack are securely attached.

It's definitely neither of those.
